BYBL Families,

As I gaze out at the beautiful snow on this lovely December day, I can't help but think that baseball is right around the corner. There are a few important things that I want to address with all of you.

  1. On-line REGISTRATION OPENS THIS SATURDAY 12/14. There will be a $20 early bird discount so don't miss out on that.
  2. Mandatory Evaluations will be on the following dates:
    Mustang: Sunday 2/16
    Bronco/Pony: Sunday 2/23
  3. Coaches: We are always in need of good, positive, coaches so please email us with your interest to coach.
  4.  Bat Regulations for 2020 Season:

Just as we did last year, we will be abiding by the USSSA Bat rules and the USA Baseball bat rules. There are a couple of changes that were made so I will try to make them as clear as I can.

Both 2-5/8 and 2-3/4" barrel diameters are legal for Mustang, Bronco, and Pony.

New Rule Issued by USSSA:
***Pony players may not swing anything lighter than a Drop 8. Meaning if your Pony Player brings a 31/21, 30/20, 29/19, etc. He or She will not be allowed to use it. 30/22, 31/23, 30/25, etc. will be allowed.

Legal Bats must meet one of the following criteria:
> Permanent USSSA Stamp on its taper
> Be a qualified BBCOR Bat
> Be a qualified USA Bat
> Be a wood bat

If your player plays Sunday League for BYBL (Part-time travel), He or she will only be allowed to use qualified USA Baseball Bats for those games. So for Sunday League Games, they WILL NOT be allowed to use the USSSA Bats.

I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
